An Exploration of Change Leadership at Public Higher Education Institutions in Ethiopia

The purpose of this study was to assess the contribution mid and lower-level academic leaders in bringing about change readiness university. To end, 180 staff were sampled from five colleges one institute using a stratified random sampling method. Data collected modified form organizational recipients’ beliefs scale an adapted attitude assessment scale. data analyzed descriptive inferential statistics simple linear regression. analysis revealed that university is low met usually with resistance Moreover, relationship between leadership there significant Accordingly, regression coefficient discrepancy, principal support, valence, efficacy, appropriateness effort found be .464, .212, .444, .347, .202, respectively. Thus, it recommended as whole need work toward improving perception It should also show commitment smooth implementation tools being implemented provide adequate material, psychological, training, other forms support needed for universities.
